Island Tinos Castria Studios

The Island

Tinos has been named as the “handmade island”, due to its rich history in tradition and arts, with the focal point being not only the sea as obvious, but the land as well that has been worked for hundreds of years. This tradition is being retained through the unspoiled villages, the numerous chapels and churches as well as the featured dove cots. A series of activities that Tinos offers will help you explore the place in a much more fun way. Since it is located at the center of Cyclades, a one-day trip to nearby islands becomes really easy, with the closest ones being Mykonos, Syros, Naxos, or the archaeological site of Delos.

How to reach Tinos

The most common ways to reach Tinos is from Mykonos – with just a 20 min ferry ride – or from the two ports of Athens, Peraius and Rafina. The first one is easily accessible by public transportation, if you are already residing in Athens, while the second one is 30 min away from Athens’ airport.

For more information about ferry schedules and transportation, feel free to contact us.

Fishing

There is no greater feeling of accomplishment than catching your own food.
